Create a More Enjoyable Life for Yourself

Are you laser-focused on your goals, or are you concentrating on things
that have nothing to do with the possible improvement of your life?

Imagine what your life could be like if instead of watching hours of TV, or
scrolling endlessly through social media, you focused on improving your
life. I know there's something you want. There's something you wanna learn.
There's something you wanna try. If you have time to watch people (real or
make-believe) live the lives they want to live, you can make time to create a
more enjoyable life for yourself.

Don't Reject Compliments

About a week ago, someone told me I was "so perfect". My first
thought was, "Oh my God I wish!", but instead I said, "Thank you!"
Over the years, I've had to train myself not to reject compliments. I
know I'm not perfect, but the fact that someone wanted to tell me I am
is mind-blowing!

If you reject a compliment, it's almost like an insult to the person who
complimented you. They took the time to say something nice to you,
and it shouldn't be dismissed.

We don't always have to totally believe what people tell us, but if it's
something good, smile, take it in, and say, "Thank you!"

Don't Try To Get Revenge On Anyone

It's a fact. There are mean people in this world, and sometimes you
might think revenge is a good idea, but revenge doesn't solve anything.
When you try to hurt someone because they've hurt you, you only hurt
yourself.

When people hurt me or they're mean, I try to stay away from them (if
possible) or interact with them only when necessary. You will never
win by trying to get back at someone. These people eventually do more
harm to themselves without you doing anything.

So if you've been wronged, don't try to get revenge. Put your energy
into being the best person you can be.

Are You a Pushover?

Sometimes when you're friendly and you're a good person, some people
see you as someone they can take advantage of. They think you're weak
and they'll ask you for anything and everything.

It's perfectly fine to help people if you can, but if that help starts to put
a strain on you, that's when you know you've probably helped too much,
or someone's asked you for too much. Helping someone should make
you feel happy. If it doesn't, that's when you know something isn't right.
If you're a pushover you'll start feeling dread every time you see that
person..."Here they go asking me for stuff!" Don't help people to the
point that it hurts you.

Do You Cause Drama For Yourself And Others?

If you cause drama for yourself and others are you really happy? A life
full of drama is never boring, but it's not gonna improve your life.

If you do a lot of gossiping, that makes you look untrustworthy. If you
complain all the time, it makes others not want to be around you. If
you hang out with shady people, don't expect them to make you happy.
If it feels like everyone is against you, ask yourself if you're spending
time with the wrong people. Real friends will try to lift you up. Caring
people won't put you down. Responsible people try to stay out of trou-
ble. Quality friends aren't mean and lazy. Kind people make you feel
happy. What type of person are you?

Can you imagine what life would be like if you surrounded yourself
with people who only wanted the best for you? Turn it into reality...It's
all up to you.

Today's a Good Day to Start Something New

Before I started this blog, about 12 years ago, I researched blogging
and how much work it was. I kept reading about how most people
abandon their blogs after six months. I decided I wasn't gonna be like
those people. That's why my blog is still here.

Today I want to motivate you to do something you really wanna do.
This could be something that's been on your mind awhile, or maybe
you just thought of it today. What ever it is, you have the power to start
it and accomplish it.

Sometimes you need to change the way you think, and when you do,
things begin to fall into place. If you want to change something, some-
times it's gonna happen slower than you want it to, but it will happen
if you keep working on it.

When you feel a decline in motivation tell yourself to stay motivated,
because you deserve to be able to better yourself.

No matter where you are or what you're doing, today can be the day
you say to yourself..."I can improve my life if I really want to. I will
find the time. I will find the energy. I can do a little something every
day."

Make a list of things you want to do. Find at least one item on the list
you want to start working on. Don't worry about how long it's gonna
take. Just do it!

10 Ways to Feel Better About Life

10 Ways to Feel Better About Life

1. Create a morning routine where you have time to eat, and relax
    before leaving the house.

2. Walk in the sunshine, or set by a window where you can feel the
    sun on your skin.

3. If you have a job you hate, research how to get your dream job.
Then you can see what steps you need to take to start a career
     you'll enjoy.

4. Stop hanging around people who make you feel bad about
    yourself.

5. Find something fun and creative to do.

6. Don't let TV shows interfere with your sleep. Your sleep is
more important than any TV show.

7. Don't let social media interfere with your sleep. Create a sleep
routine and stick to it, so you won't be drained in the morning.
There's NOTHING on social media worth losing sleep over.

8. Listen to uplifting music.

9. Unfollow people on social media who have negative posts.

10. Be grateful for the things you have that bring you joy.

Are You Sending Out Positive Vibes?

When my son was a baby, strangers would say, "Oh she's so cute." or
"She's so pretty!" I would smile and say, "Thank you." I could've told
them it was a boy, but why do that? Always take a compliment with a
smile. So imagine if I would've said, "It's a boy not a girl!" The posi-
tive vibe the stranger put out would've instantly turned into a negative
vibe.

When people talk to you, what kind of vibes do you think you're send-
ing out? Do you have a positive attitude, or are you a dark cloud?
Most of the time people will treat you according to how you approach
them...It's that simple.

I don't believe we should be pushovers, but being nice will take you
much farther than walking around with a negative attitude.

Do You Let People Use You?

Have you ever done something for someone, but it didn't feel right?
Did you feel used? It's OK to help people, but sometimes helping
turns into enabling. The more you enable someone the more they're
gonna want from you. They will get as much out of you, and from you
as long as you let them.

Are you confused if you're being used or not? When you help somebody
you should feel good about it, but if you're being used you will feel bad
about it. If you start to feel bad about helping someone, that person has
probably crossed the line into the using category. It's time to stop being
an enabler for that user!

You can decide how to stop being used. You can either slowly stop
helping them, or stop altogether. Either way, you have to stop letting
people drain you of your time and happiness.

You Deserve Time For Yourself

If you're always busy and it feels like you never have time for yourself,
you've got to solve this problem. When I don't set aside time for myself
I feel drained, unmotivated, and unhappy.

Schedule time for yourself like you'd schedule a doctor's appointment.
I don't want you to feel guilty either. You deserve this. You need this.

How To Schedule Time For Yourself:

1. Write down everything you have to do for each day
    of the week.

2. See what you can do less of, or eliminate completely.

3. You will realize that there are blocks of time you can
    schedule for yourself.

You're As Good As Anyone Else

Do you ever wonder how someone was able to accomplish their
dream? They did it because they believed in what they were doing,
and they weren't gonna let anything get in the way. You can also be
the person who does something you've always wanted to do...if you
make it a goal.

A good way to start the path to your goal, is to follow positive people
on social media who are doing what you wanna do. They can provide
a proven blueprint to your future success.

You're good enough. You're smart enough. You have to be willing to
try. Everyone started with no experience at the thing they seem to be
an expert at. Waiting won't make your dream come true. Go make it
come true. You're as good as anyone else.

Is Your Mate Controlling You?

Do you ever say, "He won't let me cut my hair.", "She won't let me
go shopping by myself.", or "He won't let me get a job."? If any
of this sounds familiar your mate is controlling you.

How do you expect to be happy if you can't make your own deci-
sions?

Is your mate stopping you from...
  • going back to school
  • coloring your hair
  • wearing what you want
  • eating healthy
  • seeing your friends
  • seeing your family
  • driving a car
  • wearing makeup
  • exercising
  • losing weight
  • following your dreams
  • BEING HAPPY?!!!
You shouldn't be with someone who won't let you be you. You
deserve to be the person you want to be, not the person someone
else wants you to be.

10 Reasons Why People Are Mean

Being mean is a cry for help. Mean people want their problems solved.
They have trouble figuring out how to solve, or deal with the issues
they're having. When someone isn't happy it doesn't give them the
right to be cruel, but try to treat them with kindness.

A mean person might...

  • be in physical pain
  • be worried about a loved one
  • have lost a loved one
  • be worried about money
  • be hungry
  • have been abused
  • have low self-esteem
  • have a jealous personality
  • be stressed out
  • be mentally ill

If You're A Racist You Have Low Self-esteem

If you believe one skin color is superior to another you're
wrong. If you've grown up being told that your race is
smarter, more attractive, or better than another...you've
been lied to. If you put people down, because their color
is different from yours you're a racist, and you have low
self-esteem.

People with self-esteem don't put others down because
of their race, nation, or ethnicity. People with self-esteem
spread happiness, positivity, peace, and love. They don't
spread sadness, negativity, unrest, or hate.

If you're a racist you don't have to stay that way. Find
people of other races to spend time with. Read about the
history of other nations, or watch documentaries about
the history of other ethnicities. When you let go of the
hate you will be more content and happier.

Are People Taking Advantage of You?

There is nothing wrong with helping someone, but when you start to feel the
help has gone to far, that's when you know someone is taking advantage of
you.

I know a man who started driving for Uber, so he could pay off his large medi-
cal bills. When he told his mom he was driving for Uber, she started asking
him for money. She asked him to pay some of her bills too, and she knew
about his financial issues.

I also know a woman who started dating a guy she met online, and not long
after they met, he talked her into getting a credit card. Once she got the credit
card, she charged some stuff for him: a game system, games, and even a
cellphone. They didn't last long after that. He got what he wanted and she's left
with the debt.

How do you keep people from taking advantage of you?...

  • Say no
Even if you feel guilty say no, because what that person is requesting
isn't good for you, it's only good for them.

  • Do a small favor that won't hurt you.
If you do something small for someone test them out to see if it was
a one time thing. If after the small favor they want more and more, it's
time to say "no" to them too.

When Someone Turns On You

What should you do when someone you're related to (or close to) turns on
you? First of all, you must realize that when someone turns on you that
does not give you permission to turn on yourself. You're still important.
You're still lovable. You're still valuable.

If you think for a moment...I bet there are some positive people you can
turn to. It can be anyone you trust who always has a positive attitude
towards you. Tell them what's going on and you'll feel better; they may
even be able to help you.

When things aren't going right, this isn't the time to give up. This is when
you need to work extra hard to lift yourself up and ask for help if you need
it.

5 Things You Need to Stop Worrying About

I think we all worry a little more than we should. Wouldn't be wonderful
if we could eliminate at least some of our worries?

5 Things You Need to Stop Worrying About

1. Your cellphone's notification noises
Ding...click...smack...There is no way you can focus on anything but
your cellphone when it's making all of those noises. Whatever's going
on with the phone, will be going on later. Your cellphone cannot be
your life. In fact, it's why a lot of people don't have a life. Just turn the
    cellphone notifications off.

2. Wearing only name brand or designer clothing
When you're buying clothes you need to pay more attention to the style
that you like to wear, and what the clothes are actually made of. Most
people that concentrate on wearing only name brand clothes have low
self-esteem, and you don't want to be like that. Clothes don't make you
who you are your personality does.

3. What other people have
Don't worry about what other people have, because I guarantee you
a lot of those people have something going on in their lives that you
want no part of. You've got to focus on improving yourself and your
     life.

4. Being in everybody's business
There's nothing wrong with talking to some people about what's going
on in their lives, but when you get to the point that the talking never
seems to end, and it's affecting your life it's time to get away from their
    drama filled lives.

5. Facebook
When was the last time you were on Facebook and it improved your
life? Facebook is good for finding long lost family members, but
that's about it. You're more likely to find out someone's political
views, see a dumb video, see someone bragging about what they
have, where they went, or who they're mad at. This is why I don't
     have Facebook.

The Life You Desire

When I was younger, I wanted to do a lot of things: sing, act, dance,
gymnastics, and so much more. But guess what?...I did none of them.
My low self-esteem held me back. I was scared of what people would
do if they saw me. Would they laugh? Would I get booed off stage? I
was afraid I wouldn't be good enough. I think about this now, and I
wish I had tried at least one of those activities. I also wish someone
had encouraged me to try something that I really wanted to do, even
though I was fearful.

If you're scared, I want to encourage you to follow at least one of your
dreams. Tell yourself that you can be what you want to be, and don't
worry about how people will react. How can you ever be happy if you
are constantly worrying about what other people will say, feel, or think?
It's your responsibility to choose activities that will lift you up in a pos-
itive way. Even if you're not the best at something, the fact that you tried
may lead you to the life you desire.

Desperate for Love

I know you can't help who you fall in love with, but if you're interested in
someone who is taken, you need to let it go. Why would you set yourself
up for a guaranteed heartbreak? I've known several women who started
dating married men, and none of those men left their wives. Don't be so
desperate for love that you're willing to let yourself be used by someone
who already has somebody else.

If you chose to start a relationship with someone who is taken you'll be
making a huge mistake. This is not a romantic or realistic situation. This
selfish cheater won't truly care about you. This person will not respect you.
You deserve to be with someone who wants only you.

If You Feel Broken...

If You Feel Broken...

Make up your mind to improve your life.

Construct your existence so it feels just right.

No one has your soul and energy.

You're a person of value...
set your mind free.

We can all become better...
determine your how.

Don't wait for tomorrow;
just do it right now.

Decide your life should be a thrill.

And one day soon your heart will heal.
