10 Ways to Feel Happier

If you want to be happy you've got to take some steps to improve your life.
Sometimes you may be taking actions that are hurting you and you may not
even realize it. When you get done reading the list, promise yourself that
you'll try to incorporate as many items from the list as you can each day.

1. Don't let people take advantage of you.
People will take advantage of you as long as you let them. People like
    this only take, take, take.

2. Stay away from negative people.
Negative people won't lift you up they'll only let you down. Find posi-
tive individuals to hang around. Seek out people that make the world a
    better place.

3. Don't let shyness stop you from having fun.
How many times have you wanted to do something or say something
and you didn't because of your shyness? You could've talked to more
people. You could've danced with that guy you had your eye on. You
could've walked into that business, handed someone your resume and
be working at your dream job.

4. Don't worry all the time.
Worry all the time and it's a guarantee you won't be happy. It's hard
to enjoy anything if you worry about everything.

5. Write down every compliment that you receive.
First of all, when someone gives you a compliment say, "Thank you."
Don't try to dodge the compliment even if you feel like you don't
deserve it. Second, writing your compliments down can help to lift
you up on days that you feel a little down.

6. Ignore negative comments.
There are just some people in this world who seem to have nothing
good to say. People like this are so unhappy that they can't stand to
see other people happy. You've just got to ignore them, and try your
best to stay away from them.

7. Focus on your strengths.
You have some positive attributes, so focus on those qualities. No
one can do everything and no one has everything.

8. Write down what you do like about yourself.
When you write down what you like about yourself it's easy to see
the good, and you focus less on the things that you may not like.

9. Quit comparing yourself to others.
Try to be the best person you can be.

10. Don't bad-mouth anyone.
You don't want to be known as someone that is always saying aw-
ful things about people. That makes you look bad and it could come
      back to haunt you.
